Google Logo September Mystery

The mystery surrounding the Google logo that appeared on the home page of the Google website on September 7 has deepened. First speculations centred on the thought that it might have something to do with their anniversary which occurs in September. However a spokesman for Google said: “Today’s doodle is not related to a birthday but is fast, fun and interactive, just the way we think search should be”.

There is much speculation online and in chat rooms about a hidden message being contained within the Google dots logo. Others speculate that this is a Google attempt to promote interest in their HTML5 and CSS3 because of the extra opportunities they offer in the design of web pages. Still others speculate that it may have something to do with the promotion of Google’s Chrome web browser.

The bouncing balls and dots have certainly created a lot of fun for Google watchers and the YouTube video has received thousands of hits on its first day.
