FC Porto have got through to this after competing all the way through the Europa League since the play off stage. They drew Belgian side Genk in the play offs round beating them 7-2 on aggregate. They then finished top of Group L ahead of Besiktas, Rapid Vienna and CSKA Sofia where they won collected 16 points from 6 matches.
